the keeper

the right-sized website for Maine businesses

right now, your site's coming up short:

Get Yourself a Keeper

all you’ve got is a Facebook page and a sign by the road

your website works fine on a computer, but on a phone it’s a mess

you’ve got a DIY site but folks keep asking if you’re actually still in business

you can’t update anything without calling the person who built it

Or maybe your business is wicked good… but your website doesn’t show it

That’s where The Keeper comes in.

not from away

I’m a Maine web designer and a Maine business owner.

Over the years I’ve run and worked in all kinds of Maine businesses — retail, farm, café, events — and I’ve seen firsthand how most small businesses here actually operate.

Sometimes the “website strategy” is a Facebook page.
Sometimes it’s a sign by the road.
Sometimes it’s a website someone built years ago that nobody can update anymore.

And honestly, most of the time the business itself is wicked good.

The website just doesn’t show it.

That’s why I started designing websites specifically for Maine businesses. Clear, hardworking sites that explain what you do, help people find you, and make it easy for customers to reach out.

No corporate nonsense.
No complicated process.

Just a solid website that gets things squared away.

The Keeper covers everything most Maine businesses need to get their website squared away. But sometimes a few extra things come up in the net.

If you need them, we can add them on.

THE BYCATCH

branding

If your logo, colors, or overall look need some tightening up, we can build a simple, cohesive brand before the website design begins.

This includes logo design, colors, and typography so your website has a clear visual foundation.

Good photos make a big difference on a website.

If you don’t already have images, we can:

• generate custom AI images
• curate high quality stock photos
• hire a photographer & plan your shoot

That way your site looks polished

If you want to see how people are finding your business online, we can set up the tools that make it possible.

This includes:

• Google Business Profile setup or optimization
• Google Analytics so you can see who’s visiting your website
• Google Search Console so you know what searches are bringing people in

How long does this take? +

The Keeper is a four-week process from start to launch, assuming we can keep things moving along with reviews and feedback. If you are looking for something faster, check out the templates in my shop!

Can I update the website myself later? +

Yes. I’ll walk you through how everything works so you can update text, images, or pages on your own if you want to.

What platform do you build on? +

Your site is built on Showit, which makes it easy to edit and update without needing to know any code.

Do you only work with Maine businesses? +

Mostly, yes. The Keeper was designed specifically for Maine businesses, so I tend to focus my work here.

What if I don’t like the design? +

You’ll review the homepage before the rest of the site is built, so we can make sure everything feels right before moving forward. The process includes review points so the final website reflects your business.

Are there any ongoing fees after the site launches? +

No surprise retainers. After launch you’ll just have your normal platform and domain costs. You can update the site yourself, or reach out if you want help with changes later.

PEOPLE ARE LOOKING YOU UP

Let’s make sure what they find makes you a keeper.
