Most business problems are clarity problems.

Before I ever mapped a website or built a brand strategy, I was raising babies, managing coffee shops, running a floral business, and building something bigger in the margins.

I’ve swept the floors at closing.

I’ve pitched strategy in boardrooms.

I’ve started over—more than once.

And through it all, I learned something most people miss:

What’s a Clarity Problem (and why does it matter)?

A clarity problem is when your business isn’t confusing to you—but it’s confusing to everyone else.

It shows up like this:
  •  Your offers are good, but people still ask “so… what do you actually do?”
  •  Your website exists, but its acts like a trampoline, and everyone bounces because they just don’t get it
  •  You keep getting low-quality leads, tire-kickers, or last-minute requests
  •  You’re constantly overexplaining, negotiating, or custom-quoting every job

When your business lacks clarity, it doesn’t matter how good your work is—people can’t trust what they don’t understand. And if they don’t understand it, they don’t buy it.

Here’s how I fix that.

I design for clarity first. That means every project I take on—from a logo to a full custom site—is built to:
  • Make your offer obvious and compelling
  • Guide people through your services step-by-step
  • Cut the bloat, confusion, and over-explaining
  • Show what makes you the smart, trustworthy choice
  • Make it easy as hell to book or inquire (and for you to manage these on the backend)

Whether you’re a local business or a booked-out designer, the goal’s the same:

Your website should speak clearly, sell confidently, and work while you’re doing literally anything else.

That’s not just design. It’s business.

Get In Touch

It came from 7 years in market research – studying how real people buy, book, and bounce.
While moonlighting for Fortune 500s, I studied customer behavior, mapped consumer journeys, and learned exactly how the best brands earn trust
I saw what works, what doesn’t, and where people fall through the cracks.

Now I bring that insight to the small business owners who actually need it.

That clarity-first approach? It didn’t come from design school.

and now

Studied French lit + food culture. Lived in Paris. Fell for beauty, language, and slow mornings.

for local food. Stayed for the slower pace, organic ag, and cheaper rent

Freelanced in market research for Fortune 500s while raising Babies and chasing ideas. Learned how to distill complex ideas—fast.

And a retail market. Learned how to brand something beautiful and functional.

Because half-assed websites make half-assed sales

Your brand deserves more than just pretty.
It deserves someone who gets what it’s like to build a business in real life.

Let’s build the kind of brand that makes people trust – and book – you.

Today, I use design as a strategy tool—blending brand, web, and business consulting into one bullshit-free process that helps people get their shit together and grow.

CORE TRUTHS

Brands that Say Less, Say More.
Clarity is Confidence

No Tricks. Just Trust.
The best marketing doesn’t rely on weaponized psychology.

Direct Communication is My Love Language

Progress > Perfection
You don’t need to have it all figured out to get started.

Fun Facts

  • I’ve worked with lobster fishermen, wedding planners, coffee shops, book stores, plumbers, accountants, & real estate pros, just to name a few. The diversity of Maine businesses is one of my favorite things.

  • I’m a freak in the sheets (the Google sheets, that is).

  • I double-fist room-temp iced coffee and G&Ts. Not simultaneously. Usually.

  • I was a gifted & talented kid; & yes, phone calls give me anxiety.

  • I’ve worked in bakeries from NYC to Paris.

  • I don’t believe in making things “a vibe.” I believe in making things make sense.

perfect happiness? Sailing over fences on the back of a dapple grey steed in the English countryside. (hasn’t
happened yet,
but this could
be the year)

greatest fear?
 A phone call from someone
 I’ve been avoiding.

My Proust Questionnaire

trait I most deplore in myself? I can try my best, but I cannot remember your name.

when do I lie?
When I promise
I won’t be late
(I most
definitely will)

TL;DR

Too Long; Designed Right

  • I’m a former consultant fluent in both spreadsheets and Showit. You’re not just hiring a designer - you’re getting a business consultant.

  • I used to Google shit for a living (aka, market research for Fortune 500s). I always do my research and will dig deep to find what makes your clients tick and your life easier.

  • I’m a mom of three who knows how to get to the damn point. No fluff, no endless back-and-forth. I value your time, work efficiently, and keep things moving.

  • I love this work, but I’m not precious about it. Feedback doesn’t scare me. I’m here to collaborate, not control. The goal is a final result that works hard and feels like you.

on to the good stuff
